Coffee News Readers - Welcome!
You wouldn’t have expected to find the solution to all the world’s problems through Coffee News, right? Well, as they say ‘God works in mysterious ways’.
You are sceptical? Of course you are. I would be too if it hadn’t been for a good friend, Hugh Carden, who pointed me in the direction of the greatest event in the history of mankind.
If you are a Christian, like I was (and still am), you are probably awaiting the return of Christ. However, you are probably now wondering if it will ever happen. The Christian church has been prophesying that it will happen some time soon for over 170 years, ever since Reverend William Miller predicted Christ’s return in 1844. The Seventh Day Adventist Church was started, based on this prediction, and in fact many hundreds of Christian churches have sprung up, providing hope for their followers, with the message that Christ will soon return.
Those that cling to that belief will still be waiting for the rest of their earthly lives. Just as the Jews are still await the ‘first coming’ of the Messiah, there are many millions of Christians who are waiting for the ‘second coming’. They have pre-conceived ideas as to what to expect, and believe that it will be obvious when He returns, despite the fact that Jesus said that he would come as a ‘thief in the night’. Nobody knows exactly when or where this great event will occur, and if we go by many Bible prophecies, it should already have occurred.
However, there are many religions in the world, and I believe that this is what Jesus was referring to when he said, ‘And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd. John 10.
This is the fundamental theme of my book, ‘Progressive Revelation’. Once we understand this concept, and become aware of the fact that it is not only the Christians who are awaiting the return of their Saviour, the possibility of ‘one flock and one shepherd’ starts to make sense. Who is this Shepherd?
My book is an easy-read, around 60 pages, and it could change your life from one of despair to one of hope and fulfilment. After you have read the book, I would be delighted to receive your feedback, which you van provide by clicking on the link on my Home Page.
